This Ni-Mo type diesel hydrotreating catalyst is prepared using γ-Al₂O₃ as the support, with Mo and Ni as the active components, through the incipient wetness impregnation method. By utilizing special raw materials and incorporating proprietary additives during the preparation process, the stacking layer number of the active component crystallites is concentrated in the range of 2 to 4 layers. On the basis of Type I active sites, additional Type II active sites are introduced, thereby enhancing its hydrogenation activity. This catalyst not only provides sufficient specific surface area for the removal of easily removable sulfur and nitrogen compounds, but also exhibits excellent removal performance for dibenzothiophene (DMDBT). The catalyst is well-suited for the hydrotreating of coker diesel, straight-run diesel, catalytic diesel, and their blended oils, as well as serving as the primary hydrofining catalyst in hydro-upgrading units for inferior diesel feedstocks.
