UV-Visible Spectrophotometer
The UV-Visible Spectrophotometer is a key analytical instrument used in catalyst preparation for characterizing the chemical state of impregnation solutions. In the preparation of catalysts via the impregnation method, the existing forms (monomeric or polymeric) and redox valence states of active metal components (such as Ni, Co, Mo, W, Cu, Fe, etc.) in the solution directly determine their dispersion on the support surface, the strength of support-active component interactions, and ultimately the catalytic performance. This instrument enables the qualitative identification and quantitative analysis of metal valence states by detecting the absorption characteristics of metal ions or complexes in the solution toward specific wavelengths of ultraviolet and visible light.
