Nitrogen Adsorption-Desorption Analyzer

The Nitrogen Adsorption-Desorption Analyzer, also known as a Specific Surface Area and Pore Size Analyzer, is a core characterization instrument used in materials science for the precise determination of surface characteristics and pore structures of solid porous materials. Based on the principle of gas physisorption, this instrument uses nitrogen at liquid nitrogen temperature (77K) as the probe molecule. By measuring the amount of gas adsorbed and desorbed at different relative pressures, it generates adsorption-desorption isotherms, from which theoretical models are applied to calculate the specific surface area, pore volume, pore size distribution, and microporous/mesoporous/macroporous structures of the material. Serving as the "eyes" for R&D in catalysts, battery materials, adsorbents, ceramics, and nanomaterials, it is a key tool for evaluating the exposure degree of active sites, mass transfer and diffusion capabilities, and storage performance of materials.
